That's the problem... I can't make those either... because the alloy smelter needs RF power to smelt.. since I cant make pipes to get power, I'm stuck in a catch 22... its getting very, very frustrating.

Correct!. Also, I usually start the mod in single player, and gen worlds until I get one that has at least a decent starting area (I don't have a seed for this mod pack). Then copy that world over to the server. As mentioned though, took me 37 tries to get something that wasn't atrocious.

Yep that took care of it. Using the archive file, moved the optional mods all in, uploaded to my server, and viola, it ran... now if I can only get a decent starting world... 37 tries so far, and they all suck! :) Is there a way to have like multiverse, or portals to other worlds with FTB...

I just downloaded it from the FTB launcher... I will try to download from the archive page, and wipe and try it all again.
