    Okay, the ineffable glass is pretty clever. I don't think the iron stuff will work unless you jump ahead to Miner's Delight first (don't correct me if I'm wrong about that, I AM still playing the map), but I admit there are some options there.

    How is 'digging around', torchdiving, dumping lava on them, etc. any better than anything else? Those are certainly boring vanilla techniques too. Mod-based solutions are more appropriate, but I'm not sure which mods are really appropriate for killing large quantities of mobs, and it's hard to...

    Torchruns are effective as usual, but that's another grindy process. My complaint isn't really that the mobs are too hard; I know the tricks, I've done enough Super Hostile. It's just that spending most of the early game running headfirst into twenty zombies until something breaks isn't the kind...

    Can I ask about your continued choice to use a flat world with no monster spawning area, resulting in mobs being heavily overspawned inside the dark areas? It certainly makes the map difficult, but it's a grindy difficulty, where if you move away for just a moment the area will be filled back up...
