To my, probably limited, knowledge there is no mod that does what you are looking for as that is a core part of the game.

Mr MarkusT, might I suggest a Magnum Torch? Works wonders in the nether for me. Don't want to deal with the mobs....there are ways. :)

Or be lucky and get a bag with 6 magnum torches.....and just go mine the nether. :)

That is very strange, as i have used a tesseract on a quarry with no problems. Do you have it setup correctly? You have to go into the interface and set it to send items, not receive them. The same with power and fluids.
