They can actually keep their liquid contents if you use the neotech wrench to break it. Though it's not super clear that's how they work.

Actually, it is possible to get titanium from 2 moons directly. There is no "titanium ore" but there is rutile ore, which gives titanium when processed. The 2 moons orbit Saturn and Uranus, names should be fairly obvious when you see them.

You can try crafting tweaks, it has a hotkey to balance the grid. Balance the materials in the crafting grid (hotkey: B) It also brings back the old NEI feature of right click to craft a stack. Right-clicking the result slot will attempt to craft a full stack *Edit: the 1.8+ version of NEI...

Funny you should mention this because I haven't actually made any bags yet. I was just starting too while I was waiting for some plants to grow. I believe I was just trying to craft some wood from logs in my inventory when this happened.
