can anyone think of some mods that could be used to start off the map? I think some variation would be cool.

The FTB team know what they are doing. That would be one of the first things they thought about.

look at Direwolf20's mod spotlight on it. He tells you what to do. It is idiot proof.

It is great to see all the ideas floating around. So many mods, so little time.

That is true but I mean that the start needs to vary so that you can go anyway which will create some variety for people playing maps. There will be no doubt lots of youtube videos of FTB but all of them will be the same.

Maybe a mod dev can create a special button that when pressed can start, stop, and reset the timer or make something so people can restart easily. But then again why do you need to reset it?? start a new map.

I think the monument needs to have a lot more things on it to show off the different mods

The whole point of FTB is to complete the map as fast as possible through the knowledge of your mods. Since the blaze trick occurs then that means that you should be able to do it. Besides, you need some way generate EMC. Their are many ways to generate EMC so all the blaze rod trick does is...

If you go into the maps area you can create a new topic for just that reason.

muliplayer only occurs if you are playing with other people. Even if you are on a server by yourself you are playing single player. Well that is my opinion anyway.

I am not saying that different ideas need to be radically different but at least bring some start game variety to FTB
