Ok, its been happening again today. After about 10 minutes with the game open, one javaw.exe process overtakes the other in memory 2.2GB vs 1GB, and has abou 70% CPU utilization. If I kill that my fps goes back up to 100.

The high CPU one seems to sometimes take more RAM than the actual Minecraft one. 2 GB vs 1GB. Also, I've disabled the console in the launcher and this is still happening.

I've got multiple javaw.exe instances running when I play FTB. I can kill one of them and nothing bad happens, and performance increases. It seems to be the one with higher RAM usage most of the time. What is the reason for this?

I usually run at a solid 60fps in all areas of my base. I have many IC2 machines as well as lots of TE machines, a boiler, and a few farms. This was all fine at 60fps; I make YouTube videos and always have an eye on my FPS. It sits at a solid 60fps while recording. After updating to v8.0.1...

Ah ok, thanks guys. I was trying to use optifine to hopefully combat the huge lag spikes I get in the latest version. I wasn't lagging until recently.

I saw this as well, but it only filled up from the bottom up to 64 items.

I have a 36 LP boiler with several of the top tier steam engines (8 MJ/t) connected via conduits to my redstone cell.
