Well yeah, unless there's an ender tank on top, you probably don't need nodes.

Ender-thermic pump in the middle, on top you can have any tank. From the tank run a few liquiducts/fluid nodes/buildcraft pipes etc. into lava generators adjacent to the pump. Jump start the generators with one bucket of lava and wuolaa!
