I have downloaded it and I can't figure out the third step. I don't know what is meant by "run" and when I hit the windows key plus the R I get the search bar.

This works on the FTB launcher?

Is there a way to change your name to something different or use your online name when joining a lan game? When my dad and I join as of now through lan connection on the same IP it gives us the same name and kicks the joining player due to players having the same name.

My dad and I have downloaded FTB launcher so we can play the Direwolf20 pack together. There is a problem where we can't connect via lan because we don't use our online accounts, rather the IP and it gives us the same name. Is there a way to change that so we can be in the same game?
