What is the worst trade you have seen?

What is the worst trade you've seen? This can be any method of trading, such as villagers(Pechs are more of a gambling system). I expect lots and lots of bad trades, easily found. I'll start.
5 diamonds for 1 emerald.

2 emeralds for 1 cooked chicken. I'm good I'll still going to just take potatoes carrots and wheat and eat better.
 
The bloody flint and steel or the gravel guys...
Those guys go to the smeltery before the Elvises do... I don't use the gravel guys for LP, they aren't worthy of such a fate, the idea of their essence swirling around my soul network makes me a little bit sick.

"Turn your gravel in to flint! come get your gravel turned in to flint! only 1 emerald!"
*my eyes grow cold*

pretty much all the trades. there's only a very few trades that I actually use, such as wheat for emeralds early on, the certus quartz for emeralds and vice versa and the thaumcraft shards for emeralds.
there's also the whole modifier pages from mystcraft and villagers, but that's one of the big reasons why I prefer to not use mystcraft anymore.

I used to abuse the crap out of the knowledge fragment sales, but I don't do it as much now as I am getting pretty decent at the research game.
Also the guys that sell wisp essence are handy if you have not yet set up a wisp farm of sorts.
 
12 emeralds for one bookcase.
i can literally farm bookcases, so why is that so expensive?

aah yes, the knowledge fragments. it's been ages since I last did that trade because the eldritch guardians seems to have a pretty decent drop rate for them.
as for wisp essence, it's quite easy nowadays to find a thaumium altar, which has wisp spawners beneath them, so I'm usually swimming in ethereal essences.

If you know how to game the villagers emeralds become trash, crafting the bookcase yourself is still a bit cheaper.
Emeralds have becomes even more cheap if you use botania as villagers "lay" emeralds.
