How can i change the config so squid dont spawn? its causing my world extreme lag, thanks :)

Not sure how to change configs for that but what you can do from time to time is: /cofh killall squid
I believe that command would remove all squids until they spawn again.

Are you sure that it's the squids? Have you used Opis or something to measure it?
There are probably more monsters alive than squids.

i built a skyblock kind of base in the middle of the ocean about 100 blocks up, i have my base completly lit up so no mobs can spawn & when i go down to the ocean its filled with hundreds of squid

This is normal with squids. A large number of squids will spawn together, however once they did there will not be any more spawning anywhere else. So you don't have to worry about them spawning more and more unless there's a bug.

everytime i log out then back in the squids despawn then respawn again and continuously spawn untill it lags my game to the point where it is unplayable and i have to relog to despawn the squids again :/
