This pack I was playing got an update and I just finished deleting the older mod versions, and when I tried to launch MC I crashed almost instantly. Here's the report: http://pastebin.com/yq8yP397

I don't think your supposed to delete the mods, It should do it for you.
Backup your worlds, And delete the instance. Then re download the pack and try again.

No, the reason I had to delete mods was because I had custom downloaded mods for the pack, and I made 2 folders on my desktop, one for the mods that were in modified before the pack update and one for the pack update. (The first one contained the custom mods, the second did not. The second had the newer versions of the mods.) I then merged them together and deleted all the old versions while keeping the custom mods.
