We need logs or screenshots or something of the sort in order to diagnose the problem.
only 1 liquid is allowed to be pulled out of the smeltery at a time, the one on the bottom of the tank in the GUI
unless he is trying to use a filtered output and the first liquid isn't drained yet
Screenshots of your setup would be helpful.
As would proofreading your posts.
But as a initial check, do both drains have the small hole pointing out [and the big one pointing in]?
We would need more info on the problem in order to be usefull. A screenshot would be specially usefull
