Dont care for fuel effiency, need the power [Big Reactor]

Im looking for a Big reactor design with a size of maximum (11x11x9) and i wanna get as much power out of it as i can without paying any attention to the fuel consumption. I WILL be using a compercraft program to control power output.

Any1 have any ideas?
 
Fill the entire inside with fuel rods.
That will net you the most power (AFAIK) without regard to fuel efficiency due to the increase irradiation

You are far from the maximum size. If you want max power then i suggest the size what i copied from the config. With

I:maxTurbineHeight=32
I:maxTurbineSize=16

this turbine.
these are the default sizes, i do not altered them.

I think the idea behind the size that he/she listed is that it's all that's available for them to build their reactor in

Its not that simple. Reactor fuel rods that can't shed their heat cannot generate power via the core->environment mechanisim. Also the resulting higher temps result in a higher proportion of of the radiation being hard - which cannot fertilize adjacent rods, or generate power, until moderated.

Eleven by eleven... is that accounting for casing? If it is, your reactor is 9x9 on the inside. If it's not, get 4 hollow 4x4 pillars stationed on block away from the glass. Hollow means the 2x2 space inside the 4x4 pillars is filled with coolant. That'll get you 48 rods each with at least 2 coolants adjacent, making it kinda efficient and having tons of fuel to burn through. Height is always max that you can, since rods I think need to go all the way down regardless, so height is irrelevant calculating this.
 
I would predict that the maximum power would be achieved by packing as many fuel rods into the available space, while ensuring each fuel rod has at least one face exposed to coolant.

Something like this is a repeating pattern with that property:

Ooo. Ouch. Cant really be helped with the size constraint. Replacing those with coolant migt boost absolute power out. Ill have to build this to see.

This design is a bit better. Each core has two faces touching coolant so with 4 less cores it produces more power than the previous layout. Still hugely inefficient :) My suspicion is that - well again there are a number of cores around the edges that are only touching one coolant block - removing some cores from the edges might actually boost total power out again.

I built this as 11x7x11 rather than 11x9x11 (I presume that with 11x11x9, 9 is the height of the reactor?) Why 7? My derp. Now I need to rebuild higher.

At any rate I got 53.8kRF/t, burning an ingot every 32seconds (34MRF/ingot). With 270 fuel rod blocks.

By contrast, my 11x7x11 reactor, here, achieves 25kRF/t, burns an ingot every 210seconds for an fuel efficiency of 105MRF/ingot). with a mere 40 fuel rods.

If you dont have the resources then build my effecient design.

The max power layout I show above boasts 7x more fuel rods than my linked reactor (378 vs 56) and 6x increased fuel consumption for barely more than 2x the power.

This is the cost of ignoring efficiency.
