So with the new EULA changes coming n the first, I need some help. With a server I am about to host, I was going to build different "donation packs" that give items depending on the donation amount. For instance 5 bucks would get a nuclear reactor (just a random number, don't hold me to this.) where 20 bucks would get a fusion reactor.

is this legal now? Is it against the rules? What are the new rules in respect to FTB?

1. They cannot get things like reactors from donating. According to the EULA, the only things that can be received via donation or payment have to be cosmetic, as in nothing that will affect gameplay. For instance, you could have pets or hats, but not something that will affect gameplay like reactors.
2. The rules have always been this way. Nothing has changed. It's just that there's been clarification based on the original rules, as well as enforcement starting in August
3. Yes, this does apply to FTB. These rules always have and always will apply to any and all Minecraft servers, modded or not.

Let's not have a debate on this here. There are dedicated places for that elsewhere.

1.yes, nothing that gives you a advantage over non-donating players.
2.i personally always wanted things to be this way.
3.agreed, FTB is still minecraft. (although, with those FMP spheres, i'm starting to wonder.....)

Well, would it be possible to use a loophole? Something I thought of was, why not make donation be able to get "hats", and "hats" can be gotten ingame, and use the "hats" as currency for an ingame shop? That would mean anyone could get the items in the shop, assuming they work for their own ingame hats, and donators would, if they wanted, be able to buy the hats and if they get bored of them trade them for ingame objects.

nope, no using ingame currency's that are interchangeable with real money.[DOUBLEPOST=1404086609][/DOUBLEPOST]and again, that would give them an advantage over non-donators.

I've got a Ninja Dagger from Chocolate Quest if you want it. Although it might be hard to get to my ME terminal with all the villagers....
