Help with thaumcraft golems

what am I doing wrong? He just stands there. I right clicked the golem on the furnace and right clicked the jars...I'm using a tallow golem with an alchemy core.

try clicking the round thingies on top (I forget their names) and not the furnace as the furnace wont have any essentia since it goes up into those.

I figured it out. When I first added thaumcraft to my pack I changed the tick setting in the cfg to 3 instead of

"# How many ticks a golem waits between checking for tasks. Setting it higher will save server ticks, but will make the golems slower to react.
I:golem_delay=5"

I am not sure what you did wrong gollem is clearly assign to the furnace as it hold essentia jar in his hand so you placed him correctly.

Only thing I can think of is. Did you right click with golemancer bell on the golem or on the furnace? You must click it on the golem first and then on jars. Don't click it on furnace as golems is confused and thinks you want him to put essentia into furnace which he can't simply do.

5 ticks is a quarter of a second, real-time, barring reduced performance cases. Even then, it going beyond half a second would be unlikely. Did changing it back to 5 ticks really fix the issue?

FWIW, after apparent "fix":
1. With the golem in hand, right-click on the furnace.
2. With the golemancer's bell, right-click on the golem, then on one of the jars. Since they're all "touching" he should have no problem recognizing the presence of other jars.
3. ???
4. Profit.
