IC2 various other machines stop working randomly

Hey fellas i was wondering if anyone else was getting this issue. We play a modified Horizons pack on my server these days and among that pack is IC2, Power Converters in particular.

We built a solar tower plant from reactorcraft/rotarycraft and attached the RF Dynamo, an RF consumer > Energy Bridge > EU HV Producer in that order. Now those feed the MFE's we use atm to power our littlee town. However there are times when power just stops flowing and when you check the power converters they are all in brown status. So the fix for this is to break the Blocks and replace them and away it goes agian.

Now to continue on, we build a control center so that we dont have to go underground all the time to switch nobs and switches. In the control center we have various Industrial information Panels that are linked to the bat boxes and MFE's . However after some time or just randomly they also stop working. its like thier screens just freeze and do not give you the correct readings. The fix for this is to also destroy and replace them and they work fine. The same thing applies to the Wireless redstone transmitter and receiver.

As you can imagine, it's becomming a huge annoyance that we have to be always smashing and replacing these blocks. Is there some kinda bug or a fix or something that can be done?

I've been seeing several reports of IC2 and Power Converters acting weird. I think it's due to the extremely experimental state of IC2 currently. Not much that can be done other than using a different mod.

weird what about the power converters mod? just logged into my server....had to make my freq rounds of smashing and replacing blocks...PCMod was in the brown status again with charge built all the way up... I really like the IC2 mod just because it feels more...i unno...modern i guess. We like to create towns and power them and play together with warzones in a seperate dimension. Currently i dont see many power mods to be able to accomplish this other then IC2, be a shame to not use it. I like the realism od reactorcraft but takes so much time to create in survival and then the clunky setup of shafts all over the place isn't to appealing. I like th elook of IC2 Machines as well. but i digress, I hope that there is some kinda fix for it...i wonder would it have something to do with the chunk being unloaded and reloaded again?

I think it's due to the fact that the IC2 E-Net is currently anything but functional. If you want wires and like RotaryCraft and ReactorCraft, try ElectriCraft out. It was designed for easier transfer and storage for the power generated by the two (specifically ReactorCraft).

I will admit I don't use IC2 or Power Converters, so if there's a fix that I don't know about I hope someone stops by and corrects me on this.

Tried Electriccraft with the modpack but it simply wont work with it, keeps crashing the client moreso then the server.

Are you using a version matching your version of DragonAPI?

To expand on this thanks to personal experience, all of Reika's mods need to be on the same version to prevent nasty things from happening. I had one that I didn't think needed to update, and it quickly ate my world.

I tried the newest version of both but wouldnt the newversion of dragonapi also be compatible with recent versions of say reactorcraft and such? or should i try and find a version of electricraft that is compatible with say rotarycraft and reactor craft from the horizons pack?

You will need the latest version of all of Reika's mods that are in your pack, as he does not keep past versions for download.

v22 (for example) of DragonAPI will run with v22 of RotaryCraft, ReactorCraft, ElectriCraft, and so on. Anything below v22 and you run the risk of having some issues.

Anyone able to help with locating a version of electricraft thats compatible with DragonAPI v19b?[DOUBLEPOST=1400010525][/DOUBLEPOST]ahhh crap...well then so its either try and update all those mods to the current versions of everytihng or just do without it?

Yep.

Code:
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Overwriting already-registered Potion lumien.randomthings.PotionEffects.ImbueWither@ee6d4c2 @ 35

You have a potion conflict. Check the RotaryCraft config, look for potions, and change whatever one is registered to 35.

hey man i done what you said but got another error, if its possible could you inform me as to where you see these so i can adjust them as needed so i dont have to bother ya with a 100 more error pastebins if that turns out to be the case lol... but in anycase...here it is... PASTEBIN

Line 7:
Code:
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Overwriting already-registered Potion lumien.randomthings.PotionEffects.ImbueWither@7d019c6c @ 35

Check the ReactorCraft config as well to make sure it isn't in there.

ok will do, i read over AM2 about ten times and cant find anything with the number 35 attached to it...ill report back in a few

That would be because it's a conflict between potion ID 35 in Random Things and either RotaryCraft or ReactorCraft.

ok man after a few more incidents its working...many thanks for your contribution i really greatly appreciate it man...thanks... gonna try out electricraft and see how it goes.
