What java version is best?

In your opinion, give what java version you think is the best in its performance.

personally for me i can barely tell between java 8u5 and java7u21.

for me, when i updated to jre7u45 my performance died. i just want to know for my world.

(well actually i think 8 may be better. not sure.)

I noticed a SLIGHT (and do mean slight) increase in performance with 1.8, however I also noticed a HUGE increase in crashes and derps in general.

I rolled back back to 1.7.

i just tried 7u55 and its pretty fast. seems u45 was a derp version for me.

I updated to 7u55 and my fps dropped from mid 30's to mid 20's.

I recently updated from 7.41 I think to 7.55 and I didn't notice any difference at all, I haven't ever found any difference between java versions, I update just because.
