I had asked about this in the Ask A Simple Question thread but didn't really get any answers and this issue is becoming a pretty large headache for me so I figured I'd make a thread about it.
Basically, every once in a while when I load up my world, all of my Thaumcraft 4 research and research points will have reset. It's very inconsistent for when it occurs because it doesn't really seem to matter whether I exit out of the game properly or I crash, it happens either way (but doesn't happen every time).
I've tried to just constantly backup my world, but I don't have any idea when it's going to reset my research so it could be that time I exit out of the game to do a backup where it resets (which has actually just recently happened). I've had to revert to a backup from a week ago multiple times because of this and it's getting a bit frustrating.
My question is does anyone know how to prevent this or if there's a fix for it? Is there a file in which all of this information is located that I can copy and paste into a more recent backup so I can have all of my research back and not lose my progress?
Oh.. and before this suggestion pops up, I'm not using the cheat sheet.
I don't have all of the research completed and having it all unlocked in an instant will take a lot of the fun out of the mod.
I'm running the DW20 1.6.4 FTB pack v. 1.0.18 in case that information is useful.
