Fire Extinguisher?

Well I'm trying to make an arena for the Fire Guardian from Ars Magica 2, and the fires it keeps making are a pain in the butt.

Fire Detectors and Milk? Or Liquid Force? Or Chocolate Milk? There are plenty of fluids that somehow work in the nether and put out fire AND turn lava into obsidian...

Oh no I have a chest where I keep my firestone a few chunks away from my house, but it was in my backpack and I was unloading all my stuff- I didn't notice for a little bit because I was lagging so hard...
