Operating System, bit type: OSX 10.9
Java version/update, bit type: 1.70.0_51
Launcher version: 1.3.3

Hey guys,

Firstly, thanks for taking a look at this. If I wasn't completely stumped I wouldn't waste your guy's time.

The description is fairly simple; I downloaded the Monster pack via the launcher and shortly after attempting to launch the console spits a few java errors and then crashes. Sadly it crashes to quickly after giving the relevant errors to use pastebin so I took a screenshot. (see below) I also didn't see a spoiler tag to hide the screenshot in so, sorry for the screen spam.

The problem seems to be forge however I can launch Unleashed without any issues.

Tick in the options "reopen launcher when exiting minecraft" this will cause the launcher to reopen after a crash. This will then enable you to get a log from the console. Please post that log to pastebin then link it here.

If you don't know how to do spoiler tags a simple google search will give you the answer.

Thank you for the tip on keeping the console open. Here is the relevant log.

Also, BBcode is not uniform across boards so Google normally would not help but I was also lazy and did not try the most obvious tags so I will keep the bitching to a minimum =)

Logs here.

If you are around @JamiePhonic can post your potential fix for this issue. Thanks
i certainly can.

i believe this to be some kind of strange error that can be solved by changing the install location in the settings tab of the launcher. (although i have no proof it works because i cant replicate the problem)

c:\games\FTB is usually a good place, however your "my documents" folder will do just aswell

o_O Which folders would you suggest for a Mac? :pThe OP is on a Mac. Thanks for helping just giving you a hard time.

Solution Success! Thanks guys, moving the install directory did indeed work. I had a directory in downloads so I did the same in documents and presto.
