Sugar can be made into sugar charcoal -> Sugar coke -> Coal coke, though.

And if you ever made an emerald sized farm of sugarcane on crop sticks, Oh god. The horror. Enough sugarcane to flood the world with it.

Waaaah? Sugar Cane grows on crop sticks too? I think my next charcoal farm is going to use cane instead of trees. Does sugar charcoal provide the same energy as wood charcoal?

Nope, sugar charcoal is shitty power. Sugar coke is about par with normal charcoal. But the pro of sugar coke is 8 combines into 1 coal coke. Which is a lot more power compared to 8 sugar coke, iirc.

Exact same power, just condensed. 1 Sugar coke = 1/2 charcoal/coal. 1 Sugar Charcoal(Much easier to come by) = 1/4 charcoal/coal. So you could process it into Sugar coke/Coal coke I'd suggest just spamming sugar in induction furnaces or a large bank of coke ovens.
