Ive got a slight problem with over 75% of my engines. All are being filled with an infinite amount of lava(from nether), all are on all the time, but only 4 are creating the max MJ, while the rest are making only .6 or .4 MJ per tick. I have 20 total engine btw. Power isnt an issue yet, so im not too worried. Im creating well over 100MJ per tick now, with room for expansion(steam boilers, biogas, and combustion engines). I would however like to get the max amount of energy i can produce. The engines are in the wall, so a picture was hard since theres machinery and wires around it. But whats attached is the best i could do. BTW, the engines closest to you in the picture are the ones making the right amount of energy.

My thoughts:
Should the conduit you see connecting from left to right too close? Or should i have it above all the engines or something.
And yes, lava is under all the engines and the engine are all full of lava.

na everything looks fine.

But are you using all that MJ. IE do you have something that has a high enough input to take it all. Otherwise the will throttle down.

Haha no... just a quarry and a few random machines. But when i do bees, the purifier and synthesizer both empty their buffer of energy and run realllly slow. I do plan on making a mining machine in another age that will continuously run since the tesseracts work across ages

That might be your issue then. The engies slow down when they the conduit and output fills up. They then over heat and stop working (wrenching them fixes that) I would suggest until you have a need turn some of them off.

They've been on for hours upon hours without overheating. What do they look like when the overheat? I suppose they are probably smoking

When things start smoking, it means one of two things: The aforementioned thing is on fire, or it is about to explode. Which is why I should probably stop typing right now.

Unless something has changed... Magmatics do not explode they overheat and jam instead.

They're perfectly fine though:). Even though only about 4 work, it's better than my old method of using 20 sum geothermals using more lava than I could get[DOUBLEPOST=1371687000][/DOUBLEPOST]

That's what I thought, which is why I use them. They are all pumping though
