E-mail notifications are actually the worst thing ever. I really hate them.
Especially from JIRA: I don't need to get emailed every time someone changes the version number or tags on an issue... but sometimes they're useful so I can't turn them off altogether. The perils of being a software engineer :(

You should become a 15-year-old girl instead. It's definitely a lot easier than having a job!

Well I can play... but I'm really lucky to get 20 FPS on a good day (and after sacrificing virgins to Notch).

Yes but how do you think they make the electricity? Steam or water-driven turbines! We never left the steam age, really. We just have bigger and better ways of producing more steam to power our shit. Geothermal? Makes steam! Coal-fired power plants? Make steam! Non-photovoltaic solar panels? Make steam! The only exceptions I can think of are hydroelectric power, wind power, and photovoltaic solar panels. And even two of those still involve turbines.

I uninstalled the steam from my computer because I spent more time buying games than playing them. Or so it seemed.

Please don't sacrifice me to Notch.

well if you are just going back up the energy line.. then how did the water become energised enough to become steam? Unless one lives in Iceland or some other geothermal hotspot, then chances are your computer runs on the SUN!

Nah, it runs off the Big Bang. It's the cool thing to run off. Everything does it nowadays!
