Does a Mojang account work?

So I have a problem where when I try to load a modpack, it says that my username and/or password is incorrect. I was wondering if a Mojang account would work. I do have Minecraft and it is paid for.

A mojan account would work to log into Minecraft. It is unclear from your post what service you are trying to access with your Mojang credentials.

I think you are making the mistake(that often crops up) that you have to log into the launcher with your FTB login. The login is the Mojang login to actually launch the normal Minecraft instance that runs when you start any pack.
