Somewhere on the internet
First off, I think that the expensive induction smelter/pulverizer recipes should be enabled due to the expensive macerator

second off, modular powersuits has configs enabled for both normal IC2 and gregtech (imo it should only have gregtech's)

Just wondering if I could know why it's like this.

I would think the second point is because it is in beta still. The first point, though, will likely be something akin to "Because that is how we want it".

The pulverizer fills in well between the quartz grindstone and the macerator I've found.

Really? I personally think the pulverizer is a bit better than the macerator.

I'd say the next step up is the industrial grinder, as that gets you even more yields, but it is a very long discussion which goes on every now and again. If anything though, disabling the expensive macerator may make more sense as we've got that (wonderful) quartz grindstone.

The quartz grindstone doubles ore yields? I thought it was only used for grinding quartz into dust. If so, it could be a real (early) game changer.

The quartz grindstone works, from what I've heard and seen, with all macerator recipes.

And yeah, you are right: It'll make you HURT for an automatic solution. Mm, maybe I can make a grindstone turtle...

Just tested it: the quartz grindstone doubles ore yields, but only for some. I couldn't get it to work with uranium ore (a shame for nuclear fanatics such as me), but it worked for iron and copper.

As stated:

I am fairly sure that there is no uranium macerator recipe, ergo why it did not work. But good show on testing it yourself! That is important, as that is where we get good data from (as opposed to just believing the strange glowing grinning guy).

If you silk touch the uranium you can macerate it for two dust or pulverize it for 2 and a chance for 1 plutonium dust
