If I delete a modpack from my FTB launcher, will it reduce memory usage?

I've been playing a modpack recently *not my own*. And for some reason, I am getting INTENSE lag spikes where I just freeze for 30 seconds, then a minute later it'll happen again. The modpack is set in the sky, and my island is small so it seems there should be no source of lag whatsoever. My render distance is 2 chunks, particles minimal, but no avail.

So I think the problem is memory. If I deleted the files of a modpack I no longer play, like Infinity, would it give me back some memory?

No if you Dont have them launched at the Same time that Files Arent even loaded
Whats your RAM allocation for ftb?

I don't know my current RAM allocation (I know how to find it, but I won't bother), but after deleting the modpacks my lag issues actually stopped completely.

No.
Your performance improvements are caused by something else.
