Cannot place modem(CC) on MFSU?

I was just curious as to why you cannot place a modem onto an MFSU, MFE, etc, but they can still be connected to as peripherals when you place an advanced computer directly next to them.

At least this happens in Direwolf20 1.7.10 version 1.2.1. Not sure if bug or feature or just something that the mod author decided was too difficult given the MFSU's properties... Please let me know if updating will help or not!

In case it will not, would anyone know of an efficient method of getting around this? My current best idea is either to use the redstone API's, or set up a middleman computer that has to sit next to the MFSU and transmit the MFSU's storage data whenever it is called upon (using functions somehow I guess...)

Modems can only be placed on Full sized solid blocks. Maybe the MFSUs are somehow not counted as such any more? (Sounds unlikely but maybe?)
If this is somehow the case, then you need the OpenPeripheral Peripheral Proxy to serve as an intermediary link between the two.

Thank you, this was exactly what was needed. Peripheral mfsu_0 added to network!
