Can I add mods to FTB Infinity?

Hey guys

So I've been playing FTB Infinity on a server with a few of my friends for a while now and I just realized it does not have the portal gun mod in it. I know FTB unlimate has it but I was wondering if it was possible to add it in(Is it possible to add any mods in)? If it is, does everyone have to add it or does the server admin have to add it or do only I have to add it in for me?

When playing on a server both the server and everyone playing on the server have to add the mod. In addition they have to make sure they add the same version of the mod and that they use the same configs. The easiest way is probably that the server owner chooses the mod version and then distributes the link and configs(if they differ from default) to the players so they can download it from the same place.

As to Portal Gun mod I don't think that have been updated to 1.7. So you are out of luck adding that to Infinity.

EDIT:

Currently for Minecraft 1.6. It will be skipping Minecraft 1.7. The next available version will be for Minecraft 1.8
