Thats why we can disable the mods that we dont like, and there is always a config option in gregtech that disable recipe changes

The truly crazy part about this whole debate is that it was touched off because mDiyo added some recipes to make sure that 1 wood = 4 planks.. The GT community totally blows up because they view this as somehow "exploiting" GT. It's wild because Greg goes this to other mods far more invasively all the time. All the time. So Greg responds with a crash. It's utterly outrageous, and no one should expect to get away with it. The community blows up when a modder deliberately crashes when he sees something he doesn't like. CovertJaguar got just as much crap and his motivations were at least far more reasonable when he did the code signing checks in 1.4.7.
Meanwhile his fanbase basically tries to use shaming tactics to support the recent tactics and changes. "Maybe if you weren't such a bad/ignorant/awful/FTB player you'd see how great this all is." Which is frustrating because it implies a whole bunch of stuff, but also because it's a genetic fallacy designed to put you on the defensive and divert you from the actual discussion: should Greg be crashing when he can't get his way. Given that he actually forces himself on modders in many other ways and they begrudgingly tolerate it, it seems pretty outrageous to play this game.

I still don't think people realize what kind of code bomb Greg made. This same code bomb can be used to attack other IC2 addon mods like (just to use an example) CompactSolars if they were to try to permit both Gtech and non-Gtech recipes while Gtech was installed. All he would need to do was re-enable the trigger.
This isn't simply attacking TiC, this is Nuclear Deterrent, and a stick he can use to threaten other mod authors with later on.

This is starting to get a little silly with personal grudges coming to the surface, I am getting bored asking for ppl to try remain calm before the locks come rolling in, we managed to keep the other topic up all day with both sides voicing there views, cant we show the GT forumers how its done with out any one getting burned alive.
