This is a mod I found while browsing the WIP Mods section over at MCF: ExtraneousCraft.
It's still a pretty early alpha. Right now it only has a useless block, a useless ingot, and what is essentially a grafter, but with higher durability, and with the added benefit of a 100% seed drop on tall grass. The grafter (or Herbal Accumulator) seems to only work on vanilla trees at the moment, and potentially only gives vanilla seeds (no XyCraft or RedPower for 1.5 to test it on).
Other than that, the concept and planned features sound really cool, and as far as I know, unique. It's also open source, which is always a good thing.
