Cant craft a diamond block?

I don't know what I'm doing wrong or what, but isn't a diamond block 9 diamonds in a crafting table? I'm using the latest MindCrack pack. Checking the recipe with NEI shows the block of diamond is made with Diamond micro blocks...

Anyone have any idea what the prob could be? Thanks for any help!

It's cause of gregtech, use the compressor.

Ah of course... am I able to disable it? I mean setting something to true? Would it be the storagecrafting thingys? I havent got started much into ic2 yet

Feed the Beast\MindCrack\minecraft\config\GregTech\RecipesAdvancedConfig.cfg
Set everything under # storageblockcrafting and # storageblockdecrafting to true.

generator + compressor = 17 iron + 4 tin + 4 redstone + 7 rubber + 3.5 copper

throw a stack of coal in the generator and never worry about storage block ever again.

The compressor takes 9 diamonds to make a block.
Did you even try to look it up in NEI?

Without sounding too harsh- can you please use the search bar at the top before making threads like this?

With that out the way, above the recipe in your NEI screen, you'll see a title saying which mod/machine that recipe belongs to (in your case Redpower Microblocks)

There should be some arrows like this < > on each side of that title- click through them until you find the one named compressor.​

As I said in my first post, I've already looked at NEI. All that shows up for compressor is making a diamond from a coal chunk, and all other recipes don't show any blocks of diamond.
Putting 9 diamonds in a compressor (the ic2 one?) doesn't make anything either.

You did give the compressor power, right?

place your cursor over the diamond block, hit R, you will have all recipes for diamond blocks.

Would you mind pasting your GregTech advanced config?
I suspect you have both storage block crafting and compressing set to false for the diamond block.

Yes they are false, I was going to change them to true (4th post) but I thought I'd try the compressor idea to save the time, but looks like i will go ahead and change them

EDIT I meant change the storage ones, maybe ill change the compressor as well?

EDIT again: Well I changed the storage ones so the diamonds are true. The compressor one doesn't seem to be working, not sure if I'm editing the right one or not? Oh well, this will work perfect for now, thanks for all the help

The fact that it doesn't show up in NEI is the proof you modified something.

I use the Mindcrack pack 8.0.1 with no modifications, and I do have the recipe for the diamond block in the compressor.

Let me check the config files I have and edit my message.

EDIT:
I think I found what could be wrong.

In RecipesAdvancedConfig, lines 215 and 231.
These are lines that permit the recipes, apparently, or at least partly, because making just the line 215 to false (default being true) makes the recipe for diamond blocks out of diamonds disapear. It keeps the one from industrial diamonds (line 231).

The line 1125 set to false also disables both recipes.

So in order for the compressor to have the recipe, you need both the line 1125 to true, and the line 215 (optionally the line 231 too for industrial diamonds to diamond blocks).

I hope it helps you in solving your config problems.

If all fails, you can always backup your save and configs and re download the pack fresh too, it usually helps in such trouble shooting.
