Biome Specific World Gen

I have heard that certain resources only spawn in certain biomes, or are at least more common in some.

Does anyone have a list of which ores etc spawn where? Or at least know of a few so I can compile a list?

I would like to know exactly where to places quarries and other word eating devices when I run short of certain things.

From Vanilla: Emeralds only spawn in Extreme Hills and Extreme Hills Edge

From IC2: Rubber Trees only spawn in swamps and forests, but are weighted heavily to spawn more frequently in swamps

From GregTech: Bauxite only spawns in Forest biomes

From Forestry: Bees. Most of them are biome specific.
