Automatically send extra mods to connecting clients?

As the title reads.. is there a way to set up an FTB server where connecting clients automatically download the missing mods or will every client require the extra mods to be manually installed?

Just starting a private server for some friends and we want a few extra mods added but, if possible, i would like the ability for friends to just download the mods from the server rather than me emailing files and links.

Minecraft itself can't do that, you can however try to get your private modpack downloadable through the feed the beast launcher. Then all you have to do is type in a code. I'm not sure if submissions for new private packs are open or not.
