Would like to disable splash screen/loading up modpacks are slow

If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

Details of the issue:
When trying to load up a pack,Ive tried Infinity,Dire Wolf,Lite 3 and Vanilla Plus, all startup the splash screen and after 10 - 30 minutes of slow loading become unresponsive and I have to close them. I have windows 8 and have used Direwolf in the past,I have Java v8. I heard that disabling the splash screen will help but I looked in config and can't find it so I I could get another fix/ clear instructs to disable I would appreciate it​
