I pop through the portal and I'm in an underground bubble. Not the first time, and a diamond drill makes short work of the netherrack. But I noticed that the ceiling was dripping.

After digging around some i figured that I was under a lava ocean, and a Y level of 15 nailed it for me. I ended up switching to creative to bust out through the ceiling.
Dug out to find a nether fortress right there! But it has no wart -.-
