Wither wart ?

Hi,

I just stumbled upon some wither wart in a Biome o plenty nether biome. I planted it in the overworld but NEI doesn't find any use to it and a quick google research didn't help either. So does it have any function as for now ? And thanks

It has no actual functions except applying the wither effect when broken. In other words,
