Will updating mods within Infinity Evolved break Expert mode?

I would really like to use Thermal Expansions Caches, but with the current version if you shift-click an empty chest it'll crash your game which has happened to me a lot already.

So I figured I'd update all the mods on my own, well, I have all the .jars ready to upload to my server but there's one mod that isn't like the others.

Thaumic Tinkerer. The revision used by FTB:IE is 512, and the newest available is 164. I figured that could be 152, but 152 came out 2 years ago so is this some sort of FTB edited version?

Really, my question is if the mods themselves are edited by the FTB team or if all the edits and balancing are done using config files/scripts or whatever.

Alright, everything seemed to load fine with the exception of Thaumic Tinkerer. Seems like these items had some ID number changes.

updating TE is fine i updated it when i had same bug on infinity expert skyblock and never had any recipe issues

I fixed my error message. Apparently the FTB Modpack is using the Github/in production builds of Thaumic Tinkerer, so I went and downloaded the newest edition there and now I'm having no problems.

I'm only having one issue and that's with Railcraft. The multiblocks Coke Oven and Rock Crusher keep reverting to non-assembled machines, so just blocks, I think my updated version of Forge Multipart is the reason for that.
