Since you can use the gravity/portal gun to move rubberwood that has resin spots on, would it be valid to get a load of resin-spotted wood in one place, then use the treetap machine that forestry adds to harvest it? I tested it, and found that a basic electric engine and solr panel was sufficient to run it, but I was wondering if the treetap will destroy the resin spots, or if it will let them regenerate? Because if it leaves them to regenerate, then it could mean a cheap and easy treefarm.

the treetap will destroy the spots, it's meant to work in conjunction with a logger that will pull up the resin and destroy the logs

the new multiblock forestry farms keep the spots
Yea.. about that farm you also need nonrenewable fertilizers... You can make renewable fertilizers with saltpeter but the raw material is enderpearls so a T5 Endermen spawner is needed. I'm going to produce methane instead for power soon to replace stupid peats.

with the amount you get per block and the amount the farms use i have had 40 or so stacks of resin and used maybe 20-30 fertilizer
