Will items from other mods be deleted if I update my modpack?

So I am currently playing the Mindcrack(hard more GT FYI) pack along with Mystcraft, EE3,and Xeno's reliquary. I want to update to v8.1 from v6 but, then I would lose my additional mods. Obviously, I would just reinstall the other mods but my question is would I lose my items from them? Even if I add the mods again before I play my world, would I lose my items? I just want to be sure so I don't run the risk of losing my items and possibly corrupting my world :) And just in case you are wondering, I just came back from vacation and as a result, my current desktop has v6;)

First, always backup your world before doing anything. You shouldnt loose anything as long as you dont run the world without all the mods you have. Upgrade to 8.1 and download and install all the mods you had before the upgrade and then run the world, if you run the world without any of the mobs the items are gonna vanish.
