Mindcrack uses Gregtech, which requires you to use a compressor to make blocks out of iron and other metals.

Something seems off then, just booted up mindcrack and put 9 iron into a compressor and it worked fine for me. Plus looks like you have 4 dark iron in your inventory so you've gotten it to work before.

I force updated and i think the configs are messed up...

Found what might be an issue, go to your configs folder, go into gregtech, open up recipes. There are 2 sections for storage blocks:

storageblockcompression { ... }

and

storageblockcrafting { ... }

By default all of the ones in storageblockcompression should be set to true{except copper} while the others should all be false(except for copper since you use the compressor to make dense copper plates). Make sure it's set to true for iron in at least one of the two locations.

Didn't a recent GT update move dense plates to the rolling machine, or is that not in Mindcrack yet?

He's trying to make iron blocks not railcraft plates. I think he resolved the issue since he hasn't replied since his post about force updating.
