Why is my quarry spitting out items

Given the data you have given us, I'd say the answer is likely that you have the system set up incorrectly.
If you want a more detailed answer, please get a screenshot of your setup (or more than one screenshot if your ENTIRE setup takes up more space than a single screenshot can show).
Oh. at first i thought you might have forgotten the redstone engine at the pipe at the top.
Was that sarcasm? Quarries don't need a wooden pipe with an engine pulling out items.
I'm not sure how you'd confuse that for sarcasm. Heck, I didn't see any <sarcasm> tags at all, or even a sarcmark!
Well, mainly because it's a pretty well known fact that quarries can spit out entities at an alarming rate and don't really need any help
