Why do packs now use BoP, instead of ExtraBiomesXL?

Anybody know why packs now use BoP, instead of EBXL?

I personally like EBXL better, so I manually added it in.
 
Most people liked BoP better, including Slowpoke. To me, it seems more detailed, with more finesse. It adds its own dimension plus all kinds of wonderful features and diverse biomes, while EBXL has fewer of those. Nothing pretty like the Flower Biomes or dramatic like Dead Forests or anything that really helps the mod. BoP has become more and more worth it since the switch.

BoP also provides a way to fight against the ender dragon multiple times, which is useful on a multiplayer server.
