Why can't i craft a link modifier

hello so basically on m server I am trying to get link modifier. I have crafted the 8 diamond blocks and the 1 gold blovk like it used to need but it won't work also when i hover over it and click "r" it wont show me the recipe help please my friends and I really want to use this.

It's been depreciated for normal users, and remains in-game only to help server admins configure an area. In 0.10.4, many of the effects can be replicated through the ink mixer instead.

You wasted your mats.
The Link Modifier has become uncraftable.
You can, of course, spawn it in.
Or you can give a server admin your Gold Block and 8 Diamond Blocks in exchange for a spawned in Link Modifier.
