I see people who use large "lcd screens" to display information, what item and what mod does this come from? Is it possible to hook one up to my big reactor to display relevant information like temperature, RF/tick, etc?

That could be either the monitors from ComputerCraft or the information display panels from Nuclear Control. You can definitely hook the monitors up to a Big Reactor if you know how to program (or just get a program someone already wrote). Not sure if the information panels can do that though.

It could also be the RFTools Screen. It's likely a ComputerCraft Monitor. There are plenty of Big Reactor handling computer programs out there, but some are better than others.
