My friend and I are playing FTB Infinity. When we play together on my computer (the server is running on my computer) and the server runs with very few hick-ups. The world might crash when there is another dimension made but that isn't the main problem. When I get off the game and let the server run with just him in it, it plays for like 2 hours and crashes. If I let the server sit for 2+ hours and he joins it crashes on entering the game or about 5 min later. But say the previous day we played together for 5 hours and there was a little lag now and then. Also the server seems to always crash at sometime near 12:00 in the morning. So my question is; what can I do to stop it, that doesn't include buying a dedicated server. I hope that fixing the main problem will also fix the other problems.

8gb ram
1 tb internal HDD
5 tb external HDD
GTX GeForce 650 ( over clock 100megahertz???)
(If it helps at all)

Thanks,

Two things:
  1. It's going to be very hard to look into any issues without an actual log of the crash to tell us what's going south. The more relevant data that is provided, the more targeted support and suggestions can be.
  2. 8GB RAM is rather low for concurrently running a full server and separate client of a "kitchen sink" type pack like Infinity, especially if you're running on Windows (which just devours RAM overhead for trivial things like nothing else). If this is just you and a friend, you may wish to trim the pack or pick another one with a lower bar for system requirements, although with two players this is still possible to run, just not optimal.

Can you remove a mod from a world that has already been started, and if you can could you remove biomes o' plenty. Also any good suggestion for mods to get rid of.
I currently not at my computer now and will not be till around 5. I can send those crash reports then.
