crystal capacitor stores vis, and the crystal clusters restore aura, allowing it to overcharge 10%, to get new infused ores

Note that the capacitor auto-charges when nearby nodes are full, and auto-discharges when they're not. If they allowed you to grow silver saplings in areas where there're no nodes at all I'd see a point to them, but they don't, so I don't.

I mean, you could use them to revitalise some already existing node that's drained every drop of vis from the surrounding region, at the expense of draining some other region. But crystal clusters can do that too without stealing vis from elsewhere. You'll also have an easier time making the clusters, as the capacitor needs dull shards which don't spawn naturally.

Y'know, I've oft wondered what the difference between a "pure" crystal cluster and a "mixed" crystal cluster is. If there isn't then I'd wager then it's a bit of a waste then.

Also, Stark Bees. That is all.

Well, OK, maybe not all. You see, Stark Bees are your best friend for getting dull shards. Why? Because you can get said bees without draining ALL OF THE VIS from an area. And they produce dull shards, so Bob's your uncle, Crystal Capacitors for everyone! That is, assuming you play SMP. So it's more like Crystal Capacitors for me... and I guess my cat?

The crystal clusters can push a node above 100% charge, at which stage they start causing flux. I'd guess that the aspect associated with that flux has to do with the type of cluster you're using. Even if there's no practical difference, it's nice to have cosmetic options.
