Right now i'm using a lightning wand but I have very few air shards so I was wondering how you kill them?
What are your ways to kill wisps?

Enclosing the node spawning them helps greatly. The main thing is keeping them flying low enough to hit. Or, well... drowning them. I'm kind of hoping Azanor removes the ability to drown them though.
Why? Everything else can drown, why not wisps? The only wisps that shouldn't be aloud to drown are water wisps.
Because semi-intelligent floating bits of elemental power don't strike me as the kind of thing that needs to breathe, and because drowning traps for them are absurdly cheap and cheesy. It's unfair to the wisps and just turns them into a resource farm with even less effort than a mob spawner when they're supposed to be a not so desirable side-effect to generating too much flux. They're supposed to be a hazard (at least the hostile ones), not free alchemy ingredients.
I've never actually tried to kill one, though they've tried to kill me. I'm not entirely sure why: it's not like the contents of those chests were doing the wisps any good
