It's not as easy as it seems (though it's not really hard either)
I took a quick look at random.org, the site you mentioned for getting the roles together. Do you use the list generator three times, first for names, second for roles, third for abilities? Or do you do all three in the same list?
three different times, though you have to add in a few extras depending on what percentage of likelyhood you want.
For example, if you want it to be a 50% chance to get a special ability, you add in all the abilities, and then the same number of "no ability" lines. Or for roles, I add in multiple "villager" lines to make sure there isn't just one standard villager.
