Hi All,

Just thought i'd like to post some feedback. We've got a new server (with a bit more RAM ) up and running with FTB Infinity Evolved in expert mode.

After our first few weeks, we've had to challenge ourselves, learn new mods, find new ways of solving problems and so far we're really enjoying the challenge.

Last night I FINALLY got my first Ender Chests with Ender Pouches, with logistics pipes working.

My base is tech based, a friends is going the magic route and others are doing combos'.

Looking into my machine base, I've got ore processing going that I dig up, but power is still a major challenge... I'm adding more floors as I add more machines, I'm going up instead of sprawling out.
My buildings still look like.. big blocks, but it keeps the mobs out :)

I've nano'd up, so mining Nether ores isn't a problem.

But, I want more automation, more power.. more.. stuff!

I want to build the big Immersive Enginnering power plant, but I need big farms first.
So.. do I go the tried and trusted MFR route or do I try something a little different for farm
automation (to feed squeezers and refinery)?

Hints and tips appreciated :)

But seriously, I mainly wanted to express my (and my server population's) sincere gratitude for the dev's who did all the work and implemented expert mode, it's added a whole new aspect to modded MineCraft in getting players out of their usual routine and into new mods and uncharted waters :)

Thankyou.

I fully agree with your enjoyment of the pack so far Its a Lot of fun, something Different finally
For power Gens i wouldnt recommend going the ie Route since for the resources required its not worth It in my opinion
Make a Standart mfr farm with agricraft crops (with either the agricraft or open Blocks sprinkler System)
And autocraft It to beef Wellington Green energy for days until u can Start going crazy :)

Honestly Infinity Evolved in my opinion makes it feel like all the mods are meant to fit together as one rather than seperate mods or atleast to the point where two games, one tech and one magic were combined as one.

Doing the skyblock version right now after playing normal for a while while waiting on skyblock and it's nice doing a bit of botania and then finding I need to do some witchery and then some thaumcraft to progress in botania and some blood magic to progress in thaumcraft.

As for power, personally I enjoyed Ender IO's jet fuel powered combustion generators, resources aren't too difficult though gunpowder could be an issue if your not playing the skyblock but even then my standard expert mode was using water mills and then jet fuel for a burst of power as needed. Once you get far enough on a non-skyblock I hear the excavator from IE works quite well at finding uranium and powering an IC2 nuclear reactor.

If you want something different for farms try a ender IO farm. Personally I prefer them for trees and they are a bit more fun then drop harvester/planter and get resources. I'm assuming they work with agricraft. Only downside is they are a bit more difficult to make than MFR's stuff.

My only complaint with Ender IO tree farms is that they only have 4 sections. I've got a 9X9 MFR tree farm running right now farming 7 different kinds of trees (all the sapling types for Witchery plus rubber, I may end up adding Dark Oak if my current supply runs out, as I prefer it for drawers and decoration), which would require 2 farming stations.

Just a quick update on my experiences so far.

Have built all of the infrastructure which I hope will provide enough fuel to power my generator from I.E..

I have also decided to build an ore berry farm, not something I've ever done before. I am using an I.E. assembler
to convert Iron, Copper and Tin berries into ingots using Logistics pipes, it's nice knowing I have a steady (but slow)
supply of some very commonly used ingots, I am seriously considering going on an epic farming spree specifically to
locate 9 x 9 of each type of ore berry bush and building a multi story farming system for these.

The wheat farm has an Open Blocks sprinkler on-top of an aqueous accumulator which helps speed up production, the
industrial hemp farm has no need for a planter and seems to generate a massive quantity of hemp and hemp seeds.

I do not have a generator built yet as I am struggling to find enough iron and make enough steel for all of the bits.

The I.E tanks are easy to make though and I have one with 512 buckets worth of bio-diesel ready to go.

I've been side-tracked into trying to make the machine which produces large amounts of coal coke, as the basic blast
furnace is very slow.

My main short to medium term goal is to fully explore I.E, and get the excavator going.
