Weird Bug maybe

A friend and i are playing LAN style and well seeing as were sitting next to each other we thought it would be a good idea to switch computers so we both signed out and then switched computers logged in thru FTB and started up the world and

it had loaded him with my armor and items and it loaded me with MY items and armor

he lost a bunch of resources that we had gathered so why did this happen
 
Corrupt? Did you delete any files?
I really don't know much about that, haven't experienced it before.
Least I could do was help a bit. :)
 
im guessing that minecraft keeps a "main player file" when you load a world is loads you as the main player. (thats why he loaded with your stuff)

then, maybe when you joined the LAN (or vise-versa) it asks if there is a player file for you. i think that the main file would have your username in it. so it loads that for both of you.
